1. The quality of the program
  • I found this to be an "A-1" course that I did not expect it to be. I attended a course by your company when Balise first acquired your services in the early 80's. "Stuck on the island" and such that I found to be unrealistic in the real world. But this course did deal with reality and I really got something out of it.
  • I thought the information presented was very valuable. It was also presented in an effective format. I am not sure how anyone could actively participate in this class and not come away with something valuable.
  • This program has been great. I feel that I have learned a lot of information about myself and what I have to do to become an effective leader.
  • Very informative, engaging, and entertaining, while making people think and grow.
  • The program had an effective outline of topics, with good support info and presentation.
  • Quality of the program was very high.
  • Very good. Feel role playing may help on certain topics, i.e., conflict resolution.
  • Very good.
  • Very high quality. The knowledge of Rick and Paul and personal experience was astonishing. I am high in social skills and communication so I love stories much more than book material.
  • High energy and very high quality. Helpful that real life situations were used, both family and professional.
  • The quality of the program was very good and it made you think about yourself and your team.
  • Excellent, well thought out, and pace was good.
  • Excellent! World class.
  • Excellent, strong examples and data.
  • I would rate as very high.
  • Great quality!
  • Good, although at times it felt slightly rushed. Expanding the extra half day may help, or go one hour longer each day.
  • Very good. Thorough coverage of subjects, yet kept them connected.
  • The quality of the program is to learn about yourself and to get better at leadership.
  • Quality and presentation make for a pleasant learning experience.
  • Very thorough, insightful, well informed instructors.
  • Excellent, positive, reinforcement of key points through simple exercises.

2. Professional presentation of the instructors:
  • Very effective collaboration - Rick with the theme and Paul with the stories.
  • Both instructors were very professional, well spoken, and prepared.
  • Excellent.
  • Excellent - even though I do like PowerPoint - unlike you (ha ha).
  • Very professional. Authoritative in field of knowledge without being over-bearing.
  • Each presenter was very professional, showed respect for each participant.
  • Both Rick and Paul were excellent speakers. They used an effective combination of stories, slides, exercises, interactions, and humor to convey their objectives.
  • Rick and Paul kept the information interesting and light. At no time did I feel bogged down.
  • Paul and Rick were informative and funny. A+++.
  • Excellent.
  • Exceptionally versed in the subject matter.
  • Very professional and well planned. Many anecdotes.
  • Very professional - very helpful. I liked the way you even extended your time into the lunch hour and broadened our horizons.
  • Great. Rick and Paul are a great team.
  • Clearly experienced and dedicated to their career of driving positive change in others.
  • Flowed extremely well, and fast moving. Great job!
  • Very professional. Great knowledge of subject matter, use of tools, personal life experiences, and presentation skills. You engage your audience.
  • Very knowledgeable. Good tone/speed.
  • Very good - very comfortable presentation; good group interaction.
  • Very impressive team work; compliment each other.
  • Very smooth and from the gut. Not rehearsed. High knowledge of content.

3. Helpful suggestions for improving the program:
  • It might be cool if people's profiles were on a transparent overlay to put on the different graphs throughout the course.
  • Performance Dynamics models are effective, but they should not be called a "definition" of someone. Paul explained this well, but I think some attendees put too much into it.
  • No real suggestions. The program was well organized and rehearsed.
  • More focus on 6 power bases and conflict resolution.
  • A bit more summarization of the concepts along the way, as opposed to the end.
  • Stick with overheads. It compliments your style.
  • More group interaction on the first day. More comparing of scores between the audience. I enjoyed comparing myself with my neighbors, but didn't gain enough understanding of others in the room.
  • Send out readings ahead of time.
  • I liked the interactive portions the best. They provided a good break between info.
  • None.
  • More role playing could be helpful, but a more participative (two-way role playing) - get the class involved.
  • Use of digital projection versus overheads might be a suggestion.
  • Add more interaction to day 1. 8 hours of lecture is VERY long.
  • Suggest having more teams attend the meeting together. Could be very effective.
  • More team exercises the first day.
  • Put folks in the hot seat more.
  • More team exercises.
  • Sometimes moves at a rapid pace.
  • Follow up session (one-on-one) after the program (with a work plan).
  • Space out hand-outs a little more at beginning of program; encourage small group discussions between participants.
  • Felt a little rushed at closing, to tie everything together.
  • This is a leadership course - that's what it is meant to be. Maybe think about a team players', non-management course if companies would be willing to invest in "followers."
  • Too many infomercials to Giombetti Associates. We know who you are and that is why we came.

4. How has the Performance Dynamics assessment and feedback influenced you?
  • I will focus more on being a good team member while maintaining the traits that make me a strong player.
  • More aware of who I am and the dynamics of a group.
  • While providing an effective baseline, it did not reflect "precisely" the attributes, some +25%. However, it was effective and necessary for the program.
  • It has allowed me to identify and quantify qualities I have always been aware of but had never stopped to focus on.
  • It has caused me to review my personal assessment of myself. I have truly taken a long look in the mirror.
  • I have to be careful with my high energy and dominance. I need to take the time to listen and lead more with my direct report. At home, I feel it will have the most impact. I need to take my energy and dominance down a notch at home to improve my relationship with my husband. Our attitudes need an adjustment for the better.
  • Yes, where I had a high business knowledge, industry, I knew the theory of getting things done. Now I better understand how to via team building.
  • It has influenced me by showing me what I am and who I can be.
  • It has helped me look at the big picture more.
  • By helping me learn more about myself in the business world.
  • Definitely has shown my strengths and weaknesses, which result in areas for improvement.
  • Learned more about myself and personality.
  • Some of it has confirmed my thoughts about myself and some of it brought about new thoughts - great tool.
  • Better understanding of myself!!! I have tools to understand behavior of my teammates. We have a huge leg up for our team's success!!
  • I have low good will, social skills, and communication. I care about the folks on my team, now I need to let them know it.
  • Brought to the forefront some traits that I was unaware of.
  • Affirmed those traits that I have known about myself and explained their effect on my business and private life and performance.
  • It really helped me understand who I am.
  • Cleared the mirror and made me realize my opportunities for growth.
  • Excellent insight. Helped me understand some of the changes I was feeling.
  • It h as influenced me to realize that I need to care about my job and relation-ships there, and how to improve my communication at home, also.
  • I have been working on change for the last 8 years and was needing my next fix. This course has provided me with years of action.

5. How do you think this program will influence your leadership style?
  • I will listen more and more effectively. I will also be open to others' views and not be so quick to judge.
  • Because I am aware, I can try to change. I can also see the traits that cause other individuals to behave as they do and try to influence them.
  • It has provided significant insight and suggestions about communication, power bases, teamwork, and conflict management - all in a positive style.
  • This program will hopefully prevent me from creating bad habits for future leadership positions.
  • More aware of differences between peoples' individual tendencies.
  • It will influence my style in form, fit, and function. It will make me more aware of all of my actions, allowing me to act on those realizations or at least make a game plan to follow.
  • I will take the time to understand how my behavior and attitude affect the others in my department. Lead more by giving feedback and explaining more.
  • Positively. I now have a roadmap of where improvements need to happen.
  • I will be more of a coach and pass on the knowledge that I possess more freely.
  • Being new to management and young, I learned a lot. Basically, I have good traits and bad traits of leadership. If I practice on the bad ones, I will find a way of customizing my leadership role.
  • By helping me realize the impact I could have on the people who may work directly under me in the future.
  • Reduce/minimize my shortcomings as a leader, which will help develop my team, as well.
  • I will be more conscious of my communication styles.
  • It will help me grow into a better leader. It will make me more confident in my decisions and help influence my decisions.
  • Power base was and has had tremendous impact!
  • I will be more inclusive of my team.
  • Very positively!!!
  • Positively.
  • It has shown me what I do well and what I need to change.
  • Slow down, listen better, provide more feedback.
  • Be more assertive, both at work and at home. Ask better questions. Be decisive.
  • Confirms my belief that I am a follower.
  • It has made me aware of more personal characteristics in terms of strengths and weaknesses. I love making changes and watch the reaction of others to the change. They are my report card.

6. What makes this program different from others you've attended?
  • The information presented will actually help! It was not just a collection of buzz words.
  • First attended.
  • This program took theories from multiple courses I took in college and combined them into one "real world" application.
  • Other programs (Myers Briggs, Lahaye) give results as binary personality traits. You give results as scaled leadership attributes.
  • The energy and true life examples.
  • Self reflection was not a part of any other course I have attended. Excellent!
  • Volume. More interaction and based on yourself. Was able to look in the mirror.
  • This is the only class I have attended like this.
  • I've never attended any others.
  • In depth about my personality traits vs. a general lecture such as (example) "Harvey Silver - 11 hour seminar" which is similar buy different as very general.
  • Pace was excellent; handouts helpful.
  • It's very similar but I like that it also concentrates on secondary skills.
  • Very interactive. Good session.
  • It's real!
  • This is the first of this kind I've attended.
  • Your ability to engage me and keep me on track. Others are less personal, are "canned."
  • Different ways of presenting the interpretation and the assessment before the program.
  • Combination of individual feedback and group interaction.
  • Very personal and self focused. Where do I fit in the leadership spectrum?
  • It deals with reality.

7. Quality of manual and presentation materials?
  • I thought both were good.
  • First quality.
  • The manual and presentation materials were very relevant and effective in demonstrating and/or clarifying the concepts.
  • Excellent.
  • Very high quality. I see now why "technology" would fail in this type of presentation.
  • Very informative.
  • High.
  • Very helpful.
  • Very good - helped drive points.
  • Quality excellent.
  • Brief and concise! (the way I like it)
  • Great visuals.

8. Training facility evaluation:
  • The facility was nice.
  • Very good.
  • Delaney House is a prime spot.
  • Facility was very clean and comfortable. The food was excellent.
  • Excellent. The chairs were a little tough after 3 days.
  • Excellent.
  • Great conference hall and hotel.
  • Should always have a choice for meals. Excellent environment and establishment.
  • Nice facility. Room was a little too cool sometimes. Food was excellent.
  • Adequate. Lighting could be better.
  • OK. Temperature was mercurial.
  • Seems to need brighter lighting (or my eyes are going). Otherwise, great.

9. General comments:
  • An excellent program! I can think of several who would benefit from your knowledge.
  • Very worthwhile. Would like to expand upon what we have done/achieved.
  • Will recommend.
  • Some dialog, presentation seemed bit too scripted, rehearsed. Impressive working relationship between Paul and Rick.
  • I am very pleased that I was given the opportunity to spend 2-1/2 days of introspective thought with a few of my peers.
  • In my busy lifestyle with a new position, new house, twins at home, I rarely take the time to reflect on my own behaviors. This was an eye opening 2-1/2 days and I plan to utilize my learnings in my everyday life. Believe me, my husband and kids will appreciate it!
  • Thank you for putting me on the path to a leadership role.
  • AAA+.
  • Excellent program. Highly recommended for all in a leadership position. We have a long way to go!
  • Be mindful of some comments said during anecdotes, as some people could be offended by comments, such as "mindless mailmen positions." Anyone who maintains a job should be respected!
  • Thanks for the eye-opening experience.
  • Can't wait for the reassessment of our team and next steps for this team! Looking forward to sending next team! (RFS)
  • Thanks for listening!
  • Hard work, but in an enjoyable format.
  • Looking forward to follow up and change.
