1. The quality of the program:

  • The program was the best training I've gone through in my 25-year career.
  • This was one of the most beneficial and relevant training sessions that I have ever attended.
  • The program was well taught, with great vignettes.
  • Very good!! I enjoyed this program tremendously.
  • Extraordinary. The differences between a manager and a leader are very beneficial.
  • Very good, very accurate assessment of who I am. Showed concrete examples of how my combination of traits keeps me from leading.
  • Good quality - logical, yet dynamic.
  • Very good. Basic common sense, but the reinforcement is powerful.
  • Well-structured focused leadership program. It is obvious that many years of experiences and successes are its foundation.
  • Overall quality was good. Length of program was appropriate.
  • Excellent!
  • The content of the program is great. It certainly helps individuals explore themselves, understand themselves, and set action plans in place to improve themselves.
  • The low-tech approach surprisingly increased the quality of the program. I was very impressed with the thoroughness of your knowledge on this material.
  • The content was excellent. The process definitely helps you to see yourself in the mirror.
  • Outstanding material and real life examples. The content was right on the mark.
  • The material is the most impressive that I have seen.
  • The quality of the program was very good, very good presentation of details.
  • The program was on the money. I gained a better understanding about myself and how it may affect others.
  • Excellent, well thought out. All the information was applicable, not only to business, but personally, as well.
  • Overall, well done - especially the focus on I, you, me, and not him or organization.
  • Excellent instruction. Real experiences are motivational.
  • Excellent. One of the best I have attended.
  • Very well put together program, informative and full of good tools. Good job!

2. Professional presentation of the instructors:
  • Both Paul and Rick were tremendous facilitators and kept us thinking and listening the entire 2-1/2 days.
  • Both instructors were highly professional.
  • I was impressed by the instructors' knowledge.
  • Both were very professional. Used time management very well.
  • Super. Paul and Rick provide a competency level that is professional and trusting.
  • Great, personal.
  • Great instructors.
  • Very good speaking and kept everyone's attention.
  • Well-informed and engaging instructors.
  • Excellent, very effective.
  • You always had my attention - very practical.
  • The instructors use various methods to drive the points home. They were knowledgeable and prepared.
  • Very professional. You guys, at times, were actors in a play and, other times, very spontaneous.
  • Excellent. I would suggest you not use curse words (at all). You can get your point across through enthusiasm, excitement, engaging others in the class.
  • Rick and Paul did a wonderful job with getting me to understand. They made it clear and concise.
  • Very professional. Very conducive to learning.
  • Rick and Paul were very professional and insightful. It was well done!

3. Helpful suggestions for improving the program:
  • Helpful suggestions for improving the program:
  • More/shorter breaks.
  • Inform the people what happens to the scores after you go through the program and how the organization will use them.
  • More "out of seat" activities.
  • More frequent breaks between sessions.
  • More hands-on/group projects during first day of class.
  • More opportunities to get out of our seats.
  • I had trouble feeling "engaged", especially the first day. The room setup had me looking at the instructors' backs. It got better, but, overall, I spent more time looking at their backs.
  • Maybe more breaks. Most of us re not used to sitting in one place that long!
  • Would like more "role playing" and one or two team breakout sessions.
  • Move around more. Maybe work in different teams of 5 or so when proving advantages of working as a team.
  • It would be helpful to have more group type activities during the seminar (teams) versus sitting in one spot all day.
  • At times, it was too much of a lecture.
  • More interactive breakout sessions. Get your students to become the teachers (so to speak) as presenters from a group breakout session.
  • The program was very powerful and enlightening. I did not find any fault. Maybe there could be a little more interaction.
  • I would like to see more on the historical evolution of management and leadership. How did we just now get to this realization? I would like to have a log to track my progress after I leave. Something I can have to record my progress (not just a personal journal).
  • There is a contradiction in that we want to charter a new course for leaders/ leadership, but we keep tying it into the executive profile.
  • Inward identity exercises. Break the whole group into sub-groups of 4-5. The end result will be more extreme.
  • More group inter-activities to break up the lectures.
  • Try to keep changing the training exercises (several different ones).
  • Start off with a roadmap so we can see where we are going and the connectiveness of the parts.
  • Maybe a team exercise with an easel (4 groups)? - too much sitting.
  • Have some "role play" sessions to show what are the right/wrong ways to handle conflict, confrontation, etc.
  • Add more participative elements. Break into groups, if only to give a change of pace.

4. How has the Performance Dynamics assessment and feedback influenced you?
  • It will change both my work and home life for the better.
  • It has, for the most part, positively influenced me. My fear is that, since these scores are put in the personnel files, that they will be used without the knowledge of the person – to their detriment.
  • It has made me take a hard look in the mirror and realize opportunities for improvement.
  • I have received positive feedback from t his program and, most importantly, honesty!
  • I understand and am willing to adjust my opportunity areas to benefit those around me, as well as myself.
  • I need to take charge of me and make the change. Everyone around me will be changing and I need to collaborate with them.
  • Pointed out extremes that I never realized.
  • Now that the course is complete, I need to go back and digest this informa-tion. I already know three areas I can begin to work on immediately.
  • They are real and will help me focus on true areas of improvement needs.
  • It has caused me to reevaluate how I interact with my fellow associates and to think about how I apply good will.
  • I now know more about myself and understand what I need to work on and how it will affect my relationships.
  • It has been an enlightening experience. It opened my eyes and allowed me to see who I really am and focus on the areas I need to improve.
  • This opened my eyes. I have a long way to go to become more effective. I have not ever enjoyed the leadership/management part of my job. Now I know what generates those feelings and I believe I can improve my satisfaction.
  • I will definitely "soften" the high-octane side of my stile and let good will show through.
  • I wish I could have received this earlier in life. I feel like a different person. It has made me realize many behaviors about myself that I need to work on.
  • Created a self-awareness and provided a paradigm for effective leadership.
  • It provided me with tools to improve conflict management, as well as tools to improve my authoritative ability. The session informed me of my personality behaviors, which I am grateful for.
  • I do fully embrace the concepts and am planning to apply them at work and at home.
  • It has made me aware of my personality and how it can affect everything in my life, both professionally and personal.
  • It has opened my eyes and given me direction.
  • It has changed how I feel about myself and reaffirmed who I am – at work.
  • I now have a personal assessment, tools to understand my scores, and I know what to improve.
  • Know myself much better, so I know what to focus on improving.
  • It has given me insight into particular areas of my personality to work and focus on.

5. How do you think this program will influence your leadership style?
  • There is no question that the program has increased my awareness for behaviors I've taken too lightly and for granted.
  • I think it will improve it.
  • It will improve my leadership style by helping me place emphasis on the right things.
  • I will return to my organization with a new attitude and a new set of goals to accomplish.
  • I will utilize all aspects and know when an associate needs good will or when there is discipline.
  • It will improve it. I have high conflict avoidance and it showed me how so much more can be accomplished with just an improvement in that area.
  • Will be conscious of the level of accountability with my group.
  • I will listen better, collaborate more, and build on my social skills.
  • This will have a positive influence on my leadership style and help me help others.
  • It will make me a little less accommodating. I will meet and greet associates more and more often.
  • I'd like to become more collaborative and improve my active listening skills while becoming less accommodating.
  • It will definitely make me a better leader. I learned the importance of recognizing others (reward) and collaborating to achieve optimum results.
  • I will become more effective. I must become more assertive and boost up the energy level, while cooperating and collaborating.
  • I will definitely "soften" the high-octane side of my style and let good will show through.
  • It will make me a much more cognizant person and a better human being.
  • Not only do I know myself better, but I have learned that the things I thought were my strengths can work against me because other behaviors are not developed. I will incorporate more listening in my life and provide more structure for myself and my subordinates.
  • The course provided the groundwork for direction to allow me to soar like an eagle!
  • It has given me the tools to aid me in recognizing my weaknesses and work to improve them.
  • It will make me more aware of my actions with people. It will make me a better listener. Overall, it will make me a more positive person, who cares and wants to build relationships through trust.
  • It supports what I believe my leadership style is. However, it showed me I have a very long way to go.
  • It will impact how I act towards others within and outside my present group. More importantly, it has influenced (upper management) making going to where we need to be easier.
  • Take small steps and implement personal change.
  • These are the tools I could use. It will make me more effective.
  • Tremendously. Knowing the areas where I can improve and keeping them in front of me will help me to lead in an effective manner.

6. What makes this program different from others you've attended?
  • This program is different because it can be applied to my work and personal life (as opposed to only being about work).

Assessment of one's self and getting to know thyself first.

  • The personal profile assessment and tie into the partners to leadership.
  • I liked the real-life examples. They take it from theory to reality and easy to remember. I will NEVER forget Paul's restaurant experiences!
  • This was more engaging, with greater content around "life lessons."
  • Quite similar.
  • Practical and can be implemented with help of management (they've been through it and understand the process).
  • The way the program is presented.
  • The others have been about management, not leadership.
  • It makes us look at ourselves.
  • The behavioral aspects that help us to "know thyself."
  • Very personalized.
  • Very personal program that will allow me to become a leader.
  • It drives each individual from within to better their lives.
  • The best instructors I have ever encountered.
  • I think the true caring of Rick and Paul.
  • The amount of self-evaluation, explanation of the interactions that produce a type of behavior.
  • Very well presented, from a practical perspective.
  • More relevant to individual - not just empty talk.
